Ed.D. Educational Studies
The Educational Doctorate in Educational Studies at UNC provides an innovative program designed to prepare educators for leadership roles in a dramatically changing landscape of education. Educational leaders face multiple challenges, including advances in technology, evolving research on the science of learning, and ever changing educational reforms.
To address those challenges, this program offers graduate students the opportunity to participate in a rigorous and highly developed curriculum.
This programs prepare candidates to understand the relationship among research, policy, and practice in education in order to contribute to improving educational systems. The program prepares candidates to assume roles such as:
- University faculty members
- Educational leaders in school districts and state and federal agencies
- District level curriculum specialists
- Leaders in non-profit and private sectors
